Oils by intention
Money and luck oils
Oils people use for steady income, a busy shop, a job that pays the bills and a turn of good luck.
At the botanica counter, money is the most common thing people ask about. Someone needs the rent by the first. A shop owner wants more customers through the door. A family is waiting on a raise or a new job. These are the oils people reach for in those moments, and each one has its own purpose.
For money that keeps coming in, people choose Attract Money, Great Prosperity or Never Go Broke. For a shop or a stand, Customer Drawing and Better Business are the usual picks. When someone wants luck in a hurry, before a game or a big decision, they ask for Fast Luck or Lucky Jackpot. Pay Me is for money someone owes you.
Many people also keep a saint close to their money. St. Martin Caballero is the patron of business owners, and his day is November 11. St. Expeditus is asked for help with urgent matters, and St. Simon and Jesús Malverde each have their own devotion. Green and gold candles are traditional for money, and Thursday and Sunday are the usual days to start.
How people use them
- In your wallet or business
- Before you open, put a drop on the corners of the cash drawer. At home, put a drop on a folded bill you keep in your wallet and never spend.
- On a candle
- On a Thursday or a Sunday, put a few drops on top of a green or gold seven-day candle. Some people set a coin under the glass while it burns.
- In mop water and around the house
- For a shop, add a few drops to the mop water and mop from the front door inward, toward the register.
- With a written prayer or photo
- Write the amount you need on a small piece of paper, put a drop on each corner and set it under the candle.
