About this oil

Showers of Gold is the oil people use when they are asking for plenty, not just enough. The name comes from the old picture of gold coins falling like rain. People reach for it when they want money to come in from more than one place: a raise, a side business, extra hours, a good season at the shop. Many families also buy it at the start of the year.

Showers of Gold goes with a gold or yellow candle, often lit on a Sunday, the day of the sun. Many people keep a coin jar next to the candle and drop in a new coin each time they light one. The oil is gold, the color of the coins it is named for.

Ways to use

On a candle
On a Sunday, put a few drops on top of a gold seven-day candle. Set your coin jar beside it while it burns.
On charm bags, stones and medals
Keep a coin jar on the altar or near the front door. Every Sunday, put a drop on a new coin and drop it in, so the jar keeps filling.
With a written prayer or photo
On a small piece of paper, write every place money comes from, or could come from: your job, your side work, a sale you are waiting on. Put a drop on each corner and set it under the candle.
In your wallet or business
Put a drop on a gold-colored dollar coin and keep it in your wallet, apart from the money you spend.
