About this oil
Lucky Elephant is the oil people use for good luck at home, and for luck at games of chance. It goes with the elephant figure with its trunk raised, a luck charm seen in homes and shops everywhere. The raised trunk is the point: it holds the luck up so it doesn't spill out. People reach for it when they bring a new elephant home, or before a lottery drawing or bingo night.
People often tuck a folded bill or a coin in the trunk, or stand the elephant on a bill. Many set it with its back to the door, facing in, so luck comes in. Some keep seven in a row, largest to smallest. Its candles are gold and green. The oil is gold.
Ways to use
- On the altar and saint statues
- Put a drop on the base of your elephant figure and a few on the gold candle beside it. Do it again whenever you give the elephant a fresh bill.
- In your wallet or business
- Put a drop on the corner of a folded bill and tuck it in the trunk or under the elephant. Many people change it on the first of the month.
- On charm bags, stones and medals
- Put a drop on a small elephant charm, trunk up, and keep it in your wallet or in the bag you take to the game.
- On a candle
- Before a drawing or bingo night, put a few drops on a gold candle and light it with your ticket or card set in front of it.
