Oils people use for a calm house, a family that gets along and a fresh start after hard words.
Some of the most common requests at the counter are the quiet ones. A house where everyone is arguing. Children who won't listen. A new home that doesn't feel like yours yet. These oils are for bringing peace back into the house and keeping it there.
Peace at Home and Peace are the ones people ask for most. Bless This Home is used when moving in, or to bless a house after a hard time. Sweeten and Gentle Lamb are for calming a hard temper, and Happiness and Easy Life are for a lighter, easier house.
The Sacred Heart watches over many family altars, and St. Clare and St. Martin de Porres are honored in homes across Mexico and the Americas. In the Afro-Cuban tradition, Obatalá and Yemayá are honored for peace and for the home. Blue and white candles are traditional for peace.
How people use them
- In mop water and around the house
- Add a few drops to the mop water and mop the whole house, room by room, ending at the front door.
- On a candle
- Put a few drops on a blue or white seven-day candle and let it burn in the room where the family gathers.
- On doors and windows
- Put a drop at the top of the front door and on each bedroom door.
- On the altar and saint statues
- Put a drop on the base of the family's saint and on the candle that burns before it.
