About this oil
Tame is the oil for a hot temper. People reach for it when someone close is quick to shout and slow to listen. A partner flares up over nothing, a son fights with everyone, a boss yells at everyone. In Spanish it is Amansa Guapo: the guapo is the tough guy always ready for a fight, and amansar means to calm him down. People use it to cool the anger and bring back calm, so the family can talk again.
Its old sign is the lamb lying down, and some botanicas call it Corderito Manso, the gentle lamb. People use it at night, when the house is quiet, with a purple or white candle. The oil is purple, with a warm scent of ylang flowers and ginger.
Ways to use
- With a written prayer or photo
- On a piece of paper, write the person's name, and under it a line asking for calm and patience in the house. Put a drop on it, fold it toward you and keep it under the candle.
- On a candle
- At night, put a few drops on a purple or white seven-day candle and set the paper under it. Then say out loud what you want to hear at home instead of shouting.
- On doors and windows
- Put a drop at the top of the door frame of the room where the arguments start, most often the kitchen.
- In mop water and around the house
- After a bad fight, add a few drops to the mop water. Mop from the back of the house out the front door, so the anger goes out with the water.
