About this oil

Lodestone oil goes with the piedra imán, a magnet stone families have kept for generations to draw what the home needs: money, luck, work and, with a pair of stones, love. Most people who buy the oil already have a stone at home, in a dish or a small bag. The tradition says the stone needs a few drops every week to keep its pull, and this is the oil for it.

On Fridays the stone gets a few drops of oil and a pinch of magnetic sand, the fine iron it holds on to. Many families say the Prayer to the Lodestone while they do it and keep coins beside the stone. Its candles are gold and green for money, and red for love. The oil is gold.

Ways to use

On charm bags, stones and medals
Every Friday, put a few drops on the stone and sprinkle on a pinch of magnetic sand. Keep it in a glass dish or a wooden box, not a tin, so it keeps its pull.
In your wallet or business
A small stone with a drop of oil, kept in the cash drawer or the wallet, is the old way to call spent money back home.
On a candle
Put a few drops on a gold or green seven-day candle, set a coin under it and place the stone beside it. Give the stone a drop too when you light the candle.
With a written prayer or photo
For a couple, write both names on one piece of paper and put a drop of oil on it. Fold it toward you, wrapped around the pair of stones.
