About this salt
Peaceful Mind salt is for a house that has gotten loud: arguments at the dinner table, a teenager slamming doors, relatives under one roof for too long. People also use it for a tense office, or in the weeks after a loss, when everyone is on edge. It is used to ask for a calm room and cooler tempers, so people can talk to each other again.
This is an evening salt, put down once the house has gone quiet. Many set a small dish of it beside a glass of clear water and a blue candle, on the altar or a shelf in the main room. A pinch goes in the corners of the room where the arguing happens. After a bad day, some add a pinch to the mop water and mop from the back of the house to the front door. At work, a small dish can sit on the desk.
Change the water every morning and the salt once a week, and sweep the old salt out the front door. Many start on a Monday, the day of the moon. The candle is blue, with a white one beside it, and the glass of water stays until the candle burns out.
Ways to use
- In the evening
- Set a small dish of salt beside a glass of water and a blue candle in the main room. Change the water each morning.
- The corners of the room
- Sprinkle a little in the corners of the room where people argue. Sweep it out the front door after a week.
- After a bad day
- Add a pinch to the mop water and mop from the back of the house to the front door, then throw the water outside.
- At the office
- Keep a small dish on the desk or by the door of a tense office, and change it every Monday.
Goes with
Put a few drops of Peaceful Mind oil on the blue evening candle beside the dish of salt. Peace is for making up after a quarrel, and Peace at Home is for keeping the house calm once it has settled.
