About this oil
Zodiac Cancer is the oil for people born under Cancer, from June 21 to July 22. They use it on their own altar and their own candles, and it is a common birthday gift, with a white candle, for someone born in those weeks. In astrology Cancer is the sign of home and family. Many light the birthday candle in the room where the family gathers.
Cancer is a water sign, the sign of the crab, ruled by the Moon. Its day is Monday, the day of the Moon, and some start its candle on the night of a full moon. Its colors are white and silver, and its flowers are white roses, moonflowers and water lilies. The oil is clear, with a frankincense and myrrh scent.
Ways to use
- On a candle
- Put a few drops on a white seven-day candle on your birthday, or on a Monday. Some set a glass of fresh water beside it, for the Moon.
- On doors and windows
- Cancer is the sign of the home. On the birthday, put a drop at the top of the front door frame and one on each side, and ask a blessing on the house for the year.
- With offerings
- Set white roses on the altar for the birthday, with a drop of oil on the rim of the vase.
