About this oil
Zodiac Leo is the oil for people born under Leo, from July 23 to August 22. They use it on their own altar and their own candles, and it is a common birthday gift, with a gold candle, for someone born in those weeks. Leo is the sign of the Sun, and its weeks are the height of summer. Many light the birthday candle on a Sunday, the Sun's own day.
Leo is a fire sign, the sign of the lion, ruled by the Sun. Its brightest star is Regulus, "the little king." Its colors are gold, yellow and orange, and its flowers are the sunflower and the marigold, the cempasúchil. The oil is gold.
Ways to use
- On a candle
- Put a few drops on a gold or yellow seven-day candle on your birthday, or on a Sunday morning.
- With offerings
- Set sunflowers or marigolds on the altar for the birthday, with a drop of oil on the rim of the vase.
- With a written prayer or photo
- Write your name, your birth date and one request for the year on a small paper. Put a drop on each corner, fold it toward you and keep it under the gold candle.
