About this oil
Zodiac Virgo is the oil for people born under Virgo, from August 23 to September 22. They use it on their own altar and their own candles, and it is a common birthday gift, with a green candle, for someone born in those weeks. Virgo comes at harvest time. It is the sign of the maiden with a sheaf of wheat, and its brightest star, Spica, is the ear of wheat she carries.
Virgo is an earth sign, ruled by Mercury. Its day is Wednesday, the day of Mercury. In astrology it is the sign of daily work and of service to others. Its colors are green and earth tones, and its plants are wheat, the aster and the buttercup. The oil is green, with a fresh clover scent.
Ways to use
- On a candle
- Put a few drops on a green seven-day candle on your birthday, or on a Wednesday.
- With offerings
- Some keep a few stalks of wheat on the altar. On the birthday, put a drop of oil on the stalks and set fresh asters or yellow flowers beside it.
- In your wallet or business
- Virgo is the sign of daily work. At the start of the birthday year, put a drop in the corners of the cash drawer, the toolbox or the desk where you earn your living.
