About this oil
Steady Work is for when you have a job but it doesn't feel safe. Maybe there is talk of layoffs, you are on probation, you want a temp job made permanent, or your hours keep getting cut. Contractors and people who go from job to job use it so the next call comes before the current job ends. Many people buy a bottle the week they start somewhere new.
It is a Monday oil. People use it early on Monday morning, at the start of the week, and again before the first shift at a new place. Many say Psalm 23 while the candle burns. Its candle is orange, the old color for work and opportunity, with green beside it for the paycheck. The oil is orange.
Ways to use
- On a candle
- Early on Monday, put a few drops on an orange seven-day candle. Set your pay stub, your work badge or your business card under the glass.
- With a written prayer or photo
- On a piece of paper, write the company, the position and that you mean to stay. Put a drop on it, fold it toward you and keep it under the candle.
- On charm bags, stones and medals
- Put a drop on your work keys, or on a medal of Saint Joseph the Worker, patron of workers. Keep it in your lunch bag or toolbox.
- On doors and windows
- Before your first day at a new job, put a drop on the frame of your own front door, the one you leave through each morning.
