About this oil
St. Peter holds the keys. Christ gave them to him, and he is the saint people pray to when a door is shut: a job that won't call back, a landlord who won't answer, papers stuck in an office, a second chance that needs opening. People come to him for one door in particular, and they come back to thank him when it opens.
His feast day is June 29, shared with St. Paul. He was a fisherman, and his signs are the keys, the fishing net and the rooster that crowed the night he denied Jesus. Many devotees keep an old key on his altar. His candle is orange or gold, and so is the oil.
Ways to use
- On the altar and saint statues
- Put a drop on the base of his statue and on an old key set in front of him. Keep the oil off his face.
- On a candle
- Put a few drops on an orange candle and tell him plainly which door you need opened.
- On charm bags, stones and medals
- Put a drop on a small key and carry it in your wallet while you wait for the answer.
- On doors and windows
- On the morning of an interview or an appointment, put a drop on the lock and the frame of your front door.
