About this oil
Follow Me is the oil people use when they want someone to come after them: a person who has caught their eye, a partner who hangs back, or customers they want to see walk in behind them. The oldest use is for love. It is also used to draw a crowd: a singer with a show, a preacher, a vendor at the swap meet.
For love, people use it on a Friday evening, the time the tradition gives to love. Its candle is red for love, or purple when the aim is to lead. Many light it at the same hour each night and say the person's name. The oil is purple, with a warm ylang and ginger scent.
Ways to use
- On a candle
- On a Friday evening, put a few drops on a red candle and set the person's photo under the glass. Light it at the same hour each night.
- With a written prayer or photo
- Write the person's name, then write your own name across it. Put a drop on each corner and fold the paper toward you.
- On doors and windows
- Put a drop on the frame of your front door, or the door of your shop, so the way to you is marked.
- In your wallet or business
- Before the first customer of the day, sellers put a drop on the corners of the table or the cash box.
