About this oil
Bat's Blood is one of the old night oils. There is no blood in it; the name is traditional. People use it in hard matters: when they believe someone has acted against them and want it turned back, or when a situation has dragged on too long and they want their prayer to carry more weight. Many add a few drops to another oil's candle for more strength.
It is used at night, often on a Saturday, while the moon is getting smaller. Its candle is black or purple. Some people put a drop on the paper where they write a hard request, the way people once wrote with an ink of the same name. The oil is purple, with a warm ylang and ginger scent.
Ways to use
- On a candle
- On a Saturday night, put a few drops on a black or purple seven-day candle. When you add it to a candle already prepared with another oil, three drops are enough.
- With a written prayer or photo
- Write the hard matter on a piece of paper in plain words, with no wish for harm to anyone. Put a drop on it, fold it away from you and keep it under the candle.
- On doors and windows
- When you feel trouble has been sent to the house, put a drop at the top of the back door frame, the door the tradition uses for sending things out.
