About this oil
Dragon's Blood is named for the deep red resin of the dragon tree, burned for generations to guard a house and clear out evil. People use the oil to protect the home and family, and to stay strong in a hard fight. Above all, people add it to other oils for more strength: a few drops go on the candle along with the love, money or protection oil.
Its candle is red, for power and luck, and its day is Tuesday. When moving into a new home, many people first burn the resin on charcoal through every room. In the old days, people mixed it into ink to write their prayers and requests. The oil is red, with a rose scent.
Ways to use
- On a candle
- Put a few drops on a red seven-day candle for power and protection. When you use it with another oil, put that oil on the candle first, then finish with three drops of Dragon's Blood.
- On doors and windows
- In a new home, burn the resin through the rooms. Then mark a small cross of oil on the frame of the front door.
- With a written prayer or photo
- Write your request on a small piece of paper in red ink, the way people once wrote with resin ink. Put a drop on each corner before you set it under the candle.
- On charm bags, stones and medals
- A small piece of the resin in a cloth protection bag is the traditional charm. Add a drop of Dragon's Blood to it on Tuesdays.
