About this oil
Special Favor is the oil people use when they need one particular thing to go their way: a loan approved, an apartment application accepted, a meeting with the right person, a yes from someone who has been saying no. It is for one request, named plainly, not for luck in general. Many people keep a bottle in the drawer for the day that request comes up.
People often use it with the saint they already pray to, asking that saint for the favor, and come back with a candle of thanks once it is granted. Its candles are gold, for favor, and white, for thanks. The oil is gold.
Ways to use
- With a written prayer or photo
- Write the favor in one plain sentence, with the name of the bank, the landlord or the office. Put a drop on each corner, fold it toward you and keep it under the candle until you hear back.
- On a candle
- Put a few drops on a gold seven-day candle on the day you turn in the application or make the call.
- On the altar and saint statues
- If you pray to a saint, put a drop on the base of the statue and ask the favor there. Keep the oil off the saint's face.
- With offerings
- When the favor comes through, light a white candle of thanks and put a drop on the flowers you bring to the altar.
