About this oil
Ochosi is an orisha, one of the holy spirits honored in Santería. He is the hunter of the forest, whose arrow always finds its mark, so he stands for justice and for finding what you are looking for. People come to him with a court case, an unfair charge, a family member in jail, or a search that has gone on too long.
Ochosi is one of the Warriors, with Elegguá, Oggún and Osun, and he is kept with Oggún. His sign is the bow and arrow, and his colors are blue and amber. People receive the Warriors from a santero or santera, a priest of Santería, and for anything beyond a candle at home, that is who to see. The oil is blue.
Ways to use
- On a candle
- Put a few drops on a blue candle and tell him plainly what you are looking for, or where you need justice.
- With a written prayer or photo
- For a court case, write the case number and the hearing date on a piece of paper and set it under his candle.
- On the altar and saint statues
- If you keep a holy card of Ochosi at home, put a drop on its corners and on the candle beside it, never on the face.
- With offerings
- Ask your santero or santera what to offer him before you leave anything, and put a drop on the candle you light with it.
