About this oil
Court Case is for people with a date in court: a custody hearing, a criminal or traffic case, an immigration hearing, a fight over rent. People use it to ask for a fair hearing, for clear words when they speak, and for the judge to weigh the case justly. Many come to the counter with the case number and the date.
People use it from the day the papers arrive until the hearing, often starting nine days before. Its candle is brown, the old color for court matters, with a purple one beside it. Many also light a candle to the Santo Niño de Atocha, the Holy Child long prayed to by people facing the law. The oil is purple, with a warm, sweet scent of ylang and ginger.
Ways to use
- With a written prayer or photo
- Write the case number, the hearing date and the judge's name on a piece of brown paper. Put a drop on it, fold it toward you and keep it under the candle until your court date.
- On a candle
- Put a few drops on a brown or purple seven-day candle and set the court papers under the glass. If the hearing is moved, start a new candle for the new date.
- On charm bags, stones and medals
- Put a drop on a coin, or on a small cloth bag with a bay leaf inside. Keep it in your pocket on the day of the hearing.
- In the car
- On the morning of the hearing, put a drop on each of the four tires before you drive to the courthouse.
