About this oil

Against Envy is the oil people use when they feel someone envies them: a coworker after a promotion, a neighbor eyeing the new truck, relatives at the family party, a competitor across the street. In the tradition, envy is a weight that sticks: things break, sales slow down, nothing goes right for a while. People use the oil to keep that envy off the house, the business and the family.

It goes with a white candle. Many people also keep an azabache (a black jet charm) or a blue eye charm near the door. People put fresh oil on the doors after a party, a new purchase or good news, the times envy is said to follow. The oil is clear, with a frankincense and myrrh scent.

Ways to use

On doors and windows
After good news, a party or a big purchase, put a drop at the top of the front door frame and one on each side, and run a thin line along the doorstep.
In your wallet or business
When a competitor opens nearby or a coworker turns cold, put a drop on the corners of the register drawer, your desk drawer or your work locker.
On charm bags, stones and medals
Put a drop on an azabache or a blue eye charm and hang it by the door or in the car. Add another drop every Friday.
On a candle
Put a few drops on a white seven-day candle and set a paper under it with the name of the house or business, not the name of the person you suspect.
