About this oil
7 Holy Spirits is for people who pray for spiritual help: to see a hard decision clearly, to feel that they are not alone, to stay strong in faith when life is heavy. Many who keep a spiritual altar at home, with a glass of water for their guides and loved ones who have passed, use it there. The name recalls the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit: wisdom, understanding, counsel, strength, knowledge, piety and fear of the Lord.
It goes with a white candle or a seven-color one. Many people light it on a Sunday and say a prayer to the Holy Spirit before they ask for anything else. The oil is purple, with a warm ylang and ginger scent.
Ways to use
- On a candle
- On a Sunday, put seven drops on a white or seven-color candle, one for each gift. Say the prayer to the Holy Spirit as you light it.
- On the altar and saint statues
- On a spiritual altar, put a drop on the candle beside the glass of water, never in the water. Change the water every week and add a fresh drop to the candle.
- With a written prayer or photo
- Write down the question you need help with, in a single plain sentence. Put a drop on the paper and keep it under the candle until it burns out.
