About this oil
Zodiac Scorpio is the oil for people born under Scorpio, from October 23 to November 21. They use it on their own altar and their own candles, and it is a common birthday gift, with a purple candle, for someone born in those weeks. The sign takes in Día de Muertos, the season of the ofrendas. This is the sign oil. Scorpion (Alacrán) is a different oil.
Scorpio is a water sign, the sign of the scorpion, ruled by Mars. Its day is Tuesday, the day of Mars. Its brightest star, the red Antares, is called the heart of the scorpion. Its colors are deep red and purple, and its flowers are the geranium and the gardenia. The oil is purple, with a warm ylang and ginger scent.
Ways to use
- On a candle
- Put a few drops on a purple seven-day candle on your birthday, or on a Tuesday, the day of Mars.
- On doors and windows
- The geranium, Scorpio's flower, is an old symbol of protection. On the birthday, put a drop at the top of the front door frame and one on each side.
- With offerings
- Set gardenias or red geraniums on the altar for the birthday, with a drop of oil on the rim of the vase.
