About this oil
Prohibited Love is the oil people reach for when a love has to push its way through. The families won't accept it. The two come from different worlds or different faiths, or a border sits between them. Sometimes it has to stay quiet for now. People use it to ask that the walls come down, so the two can be together in the open.
Like the other love oils, it belongs to Friday, and its candle is red. Because this love is often kept private, many people light the candle late at night in their own room. When the trouble is a family's no, a pink candle often burns beside the red one, to sweeten the family. The oil is red, with a rose scent.
Ways to use
- On a candle
- On a Friday night, put a few drops on a red seven-day candle in a room where you can be alone with it. Say both names quietly while it burns.
- With a written prayer or photo
- Write both names side by side on one paper and put a drop on each name. Fold it toward you and keep it under the candle, then put it away where no one else will find it.
- On charm bags, stones and medals
- Keep something the other person gave you in a small red cloth bag, with a little key for a way that opens. Add a drop every Friday and keep the bag out of sight.
