About this oil
Hummingbird, called Chuparrosa in Mexico, is for a love that is sweet and keeps coming back. People use it when they want a certain someone to notice them, to sweeten a relationship that has turned sour, or to keep a partner coming home. It takes after the hummingbird, which returns to the same flower again and again.
Hummingbird is a Friday oil. Its candle is red, with a vase of red flowers beside it, the kind hummingbirds like best. The traditional charm is a small red cloth bag with rose petals and a photograph inside, with a drop of the oil added each Friday. The oil is red, with a sweet rose scent.
Ways to use
- On a candle
- On a Friday, put a few drops on a red seven-day candle and keep fresh red flowers beside it until it burns out. When the flowers fade, replace them.
- With a written prayer or photo
- Put a drop of oil on the back of the person's photograph, lay a few rose petals over it and set it under the candle.
- On charm bags, stones and medals
- Fill a small red cloth bag with dried rose petals and the photograph. Put a drop of oil on the bag, and add another drop every Friday.
