About this oil
Black Destroyer is the oil people reach for when they feel under attack and gentler oils haven't been enough: trouble that keeps coming back, a run of losses after a falling-out, the sense that someone is set on bringing them down. It is used to break up what is being done against you, so it can no longer reach you. It is aimed at the trouble, not at a person.
People use it on a Saturday, or while the moon is getting smaller. Its candle is black. People light it calmly, with one clear purpose, and say plainly what needs to be broken. The oil is purple, with a warm ylang and ginger scent.
Ways to use
- On a candle
- On a Saturday, put a few drops on a black seven-day candle. On a plain candle without a glass, spread the oil away from you while you name what you want broken.
- With a written prayer or photo
- Write down what has been coming at you: the losses, the trouble, the bad luck. Put a drop on the paper and fold it away from you. When the candle finishes, tear the paper up and throw it out.
- In mop water and around the house
- Add a few drops to the mop water and mop from the back of the house toward the front door. Throw the water out past the doorstep.
