About this oil
Tame the Bull is for the man who goes through life like a bull: proud, hard-headed, always throwing his weight around. It may be a husband who comes home looking for a fight, a grown son who won't take a word from anyone, or a man at work who runs over everybody. People use it to ask for that strength to calm down, so he will listen. The idea is not to break him, only to have him walk calm beside you.
Many people start it on a Tuesday, the day of St. Martha Dominadora, who tamed the dragon. Its candle is purple, the color of control, with a white one for calm. The oil is purple, with a warm ylang and ginger scent.
Ways to use
- On a candle
- On a Tuesday, put a few drops on a purple seven-day candle. Light it and ask, in your own words, for his temper to settle and his pride to give way.
- With a written prayer or photo
- Write his full name on a piece of paper, and under it what you are asking for. Put a drop on each corner, fold it toward you and tie it with a piece of string, like a rope on the bull, then set it under the candle.
- On the altar and saint statues
- If you keep St. Martha, put a drop on the base of her statue or the corners of her card, and set the folded paper with his name in front of her.
- On doors and windows
- Put a drop at the top of the front door frame, the door he comes home through, asking that he come in calm.
