About this oil
Revocation is a St. Michael oil for cancelling what was done against you. To revoke is to take back an order, as if it had never been signed. People come looking for it when they feel tied down: a job that never comes through, a bond they can't get out of, a son or daughter who seems held by someone who means them no good. They ask the archangel to cut those ties and undo what was done.
Its candle is the red St. Michael Revocation candle, red for his sword and his fire. People name each thing they want cancelled, one at a time, and let the candle burn down without putting it out. The oil is red, with a rose scent.
Ways to use
- On a candle
- Put a few drops on a red St. Michael Revocation candle, with his holy card in front of it. As you light it, say, “In the name of St. Michael the Archangel, I revoke what was done against me,” and name each thing.
- With a written prayer or photo
- Write each thing you want cancelled on its own line, cross out every line, and write “revoked” across the page. Put a drop on each corner, fold it away from you and keep it under the candle. When the candle is done, tear the paper up and throw it out of the house.
- On charm bags, stones and medals
- Tie a knot in a red cord for each thing that keeps you tied down, and put a drop of oil on every knot. Untie one knot each day while the candle burns, or cut the cord in pieces on the last day and throw it away.
