About this oil

Hate is one of the old oils for ending a bond. Where Separation loosens a tie, Hate is used when the tie has already turned bitter: a couple who only fight, an outside lover who keeps coming back into a marriage, a friendship that only brings trouble. People use it so the two lose all wish to be together. The intention is for them to part, not for anyone to come to harm.

It is used on a Saturday, while the moon is getting smaller each night. Its candle is black. Many people write each name on its own paper and keep the two papers far apart. Afterward, they light a white candle for peace. The oil is purple, with a warm ylang and ginger scent.

Ways to use

With a written prayer or photo
Write each name on its own small paper, put a drop on each, and fold each one away from you. Keep one under the candle and the other in a far corner of the house.
On a candle
On a Saturday, while the moon is getting smaller, put a few drops on a black seven-day candle and say plainly that the bond is over.
In mop water and around the house
When it is over, add a few drops of Peaceful Home or Cleansing to the mop water, not Hate, and mop from the back of the house out the front door.
