About this oil
Crossing takes its name from an old word in the tradition: to be crossed is to have your road blocked, with one problem landing after another. People use this oil when someone has done them real wrong, on purpose, and they want that person's road blocked the way theirs was. The intention is to stop them, not to hurt them. Most people who buy it have already tried everything else.
Crossing is used while the moon is waning, often on a Saturday, and its candle is black. People keep it apart from their blessing oils and away from the family altar. Afterward, many light a white candle for their own peace. The oil is purple, with a warm ylang and ginger scent.
Ways to use
- With a written prayer or photo
- Write the person's name on brown paper and draw a large X across it. Put a drop on each end of the X, fold the paper away from you and keep it under the candle.
- On a candle
- On a Saturday, while the moon is waning, put a few drops on a black candle. Burn it in a room away from your altar.
- On doors and windows
- Use the back door for this oil, never the front. A drop on the back door frame marks the way out.
