About this oil
All Purpose is for when your need doesn't have just one name. Maybe it is a little of everything: some luck, some protection, a blessing on the week ahead. People pick it up when they aren't sure which oil to buy. Many keep it as the one bottle on the home altar for everyday prayer. It is used to ask for blessing and protection in general.
All Purpose goes with a white candle, the color used for any kind of request, and with the saint you already pray to. Many people use it at the start of the month, or on Sunday when they tidy the altar. The oil is clear. It has a frankincense and myrrh scent, the same incense used in church.
Ways to use
- On the altar and saint statues
- On Sunday, when you tidy the altar, put a few drops on your saint's candle and a drop on the corners of the holy card.
- On a candle
- When you need help with more than one thing, put a few drops on a white seven-day candle. Then name each thing you are asking for, one at a time.
- With offerings
- Put a drop on the flowers or on the rim of the dish when you leave an offering for a saint or for loved ones who have passed.
- On doors and windows
- On the first of the month, put a drop at the top of the front door frame to ask a blessing on the whole house.
