About this oil
Confusion is the oil people use when someone is plotting against them: a coworker going after their job, an ex stirring up the family, a neighbor spreading stories. The intention is for that person's plans to get tangled and go nowhere, so they lose the thread and leave you alone. It is not used to hurt anyone.
People use it while the moon is waning, getting smaller each night, and many start on a Saturday. Its candle is purple or black. Some people wrap the paper in tangled thread, so the plan stays knotted. Once the trouble quiets down, they light a white candle for peace. The oil is purple, with a warm ylang and ginger scent.
Ways to use
- With a written prayer or photo
- Write the person's name on brown paper. Turn the paper and write it again across the first, over and over, until it can't be read. Put a drop on it and keep it under the candle.
- On a candle
- On a Saturday while the moon is waning, put a few drops on a purple or black candle and say plainly which plan you want stopped.
- On doors and windows
- Put a drop on the frame of the back door, the door the tradition uses for sending things out of the house.
