About this oil
Peaceful Home is for a house where nobody is getting along. People use it when the arguing happens every day, when a relative has moved in and the rooms feel crowded, after a death in the family, or before the holidays bring everyone under one roof. It is used to ask for calm, patience and kind words between the people who share a home.
Its symbols are the dove and the olive branch, the old signs of peace. Its candles are blue and white. Many people use it on a quiet evening, after the dishes are done and the house has settled. The oil is blue, the color the tradition keeps for calm.
Ways to use
- In mop water and around the house
- After a fight, add a few drops to the mop water. Mop from the back of the house toward the front door to send the fight out. You can also leave a cotton ball with a drop on it in the corner of the room where people argue most.
- On a candle
- Put a few drops on a blue or white seven-day candle. Set it where the family gathers, like the kitchen table or the living room, not in one person's room.
- With a written prayer or photo
- Write the names of everyone who lives in the house on one piece of paper. Put a drop on it and keep it under the candle.
- On doors and windows
- Before a relative arrives or the family gathers for the holidays, put a drop on the frame of the front door. Ask that everyone who comes in, comes in peace.
